Pilsner
Golden, dry, sharply bitter, noble, flowery, effervescent
Golden, dry, sharply bitter, noble, flowery, effervescent
Pilsner, the world’s most popular style of beer, was invented in Czech Bohemia, perfected in Germany, and turned into flavorless mass-market fizz in America. In 1842, a Bavarian monk smuggled lager yeast from Munich to the Bohemian town of Pilsn where they used the yeast with British pale malt, crafting a beer golden in color. Chuckanut pilsner is truly mouthwatering, deeply satisfying, and refreshing! GABF Gold & Bronze medal winner!
FOOD PAIRING // Pilsner’s bitterness cuts through spices. The malt marries into the dish, while cooling the fire of Thai and Mexican dishes. True Pilsner likes crab, clams, shrimp, and oysters. Strong fish dishes such as salmon are delicious with Pilsner as well.
