No we didn’t misspell Dunkel! Dinkel translates to spelt in German. Our Dinkel Lager uses 50% malted spelt grains giving this beer a creamy mouthfeel and flavors of fresh baked bread. The Dinkel is hopped primarily with experimental hop #04190 giving aromas and flavors of pear and stone fruits. A resurgence of the use of the ancient spelt grain combined with new world hops in the Dinkel Lager culminates in a bready, malty, fruity beer with a creamy finish. Prost!
