SWEETHEART DINNER FOR TWO ON VALENTINES DAY

Hello sweethearts, just letting you know our special valentines day prix fixe is back! Sharing an appetizer, eating your own entree and finishing by sharing a dessert is a great way to get together. This year the one choice you will have for an appetizer will be either Mushroom Crab Ravioli with Kolsch Tomato Cream Sauce or Pistachio dusted Lamp Lollipops or Freisee Fennel Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad. The entree choices are Beef Short Ribs with Chocolate Demi Glace, trufflled mash potatoes and champagne grilled veggies and Lemon Herb Coho Salmon w/ Ginger Beurre Blanc, coconut boridden rice and champagne grilled veggies. And you can finish with either a Homemade Strawberry Shortcake or Chocolate Mousse. Total price for two of you is $79 (plus tax, tip and beverages). BEERS FOR FEBRUARY

As we move into our leap year month we'll be sharing some great beers with you! We always release our Doppelbock for Valentines Day in the bottle and on tap. Smooth, rich and full bodied this is the third in our big bier series. But we also have Schwarz bier out now. It's the black lager with hints of espresso, dark malts and a medium body that hits the spot anytime of day. Rye Lager has hit the streets with its amber, spicy and refreshing finish. Our new Zealander Style Pilsner will be tapped at the end of the month at all Zeeks Pizza joints and our two Chuckanut sites. This special collaboration uses two New Zealand hops (Rakau and Wai-Iti) imparting a mixture of stonefruit, lemon and lime notes in a Pilsner style lager. And we just released the Rhinebier at the end of Junuary which you will want to try for a play on our traditional Kolsch!

FEBRUARY IN THE KITCHEN AT CHUCKANUT

We've told you about the Sweetheart Prix Fixe Dinner on February 14 but we need to mention the amazing Moroccan Peanut Soup on the menu this month. This tomato based soup is vegetarian and has chunks for hearty winter squash and finished with roasted peanuts and cilantro. This might be a good month to indulge in our Banana Bread Pudding! If you've never tried it now's the time! Don't forget to check out our specials menu when you come in, you never know what you will discover! Meatloaf has continued on the menu by popular demand!

OUT AND ABOUT WITH CHUCKANUT

February is a great month for special events around the Sound. Hops & Props at the Boeing Flight Museum is an amazing festival and it sells out early. If you can't get in this year buy your tickets for next year cuz you won't be disappointed! Also our WA Brewers Open House is the last Saturday in February. We'll be open from 1-3 as the brewers chat it up with you and lead a free tour at each of our breweries at 1:30 pm. And if you are in Canada stop by the Hop Wired Beer Fest where they serve a bunch of Coffee beers as well as other styles including Chuckanut's! It 's held at the Croatian Cultural Center in Vancouver. Sure to be fun!
