CHUCKANUT WINS LARGE BREWERY OF 2019 AT WABA

Chuckanut Brewery has done it again!! This time Chuckanut won Large Brewery of the Year 2019 by the Washington Beer Awards by winning 9 medals for our outstanding beers. Gold medals were awarded to Kolsch, Dunkel Lager, Alt Bier, Maibock and Rauch Helles. Our new Asian Style Lager (brewed for Din Tai Fung Restaurants) won Silver. Bronze medals were given for our Pilsner, Mexican Style Lager and the new Rye Lager! We were thrilled that the judges found our beers true to style and the best in their categories. Cheers!

NEW BEER FOR CHUCKANUT IN JULY

Our Chuckanut brewers have been really busy creating some new beers for you to enjoy this July! Look for our Dinkel Lager (not Dunkel) which is a lager made with 50% spelt malt (an ancient grain). This sessionable lager is golden with a creamy mouthfeel and aromatic hop finish. The new Citra Leaf Pilsner uses an experimental type hop made with the leafy part of Citra hops and our standard Pilsner recipe. Refreshing and great with anything off the BBQ, this is perfect for summer. Helles comes back on as our summer lager. By now you are probably familiar with this award winning breakfast beer from Munich!! And the Latona Pubs and Chuckanut locations will all be tapping our new Mediterranean Style Pilsner brewed as a summer lager at the Latona, Hop & Vine and Fiddlers Inn in Seattle. Or you can also drink it at our North and South Nut locations! And our new collaboration brew with Future Primitive from Seattle called "Nut to the Future" will be tapped at the Beer Prom. It's what we call a German Common (like California Common but uses German ingredients).

AROUND THE SOUND AND BEYOND WITH CHUCKANUT

There's lots of opportunities this month to visit with Chuckanut at brewers nights and events. If you are out in the tri-cities area July 10 make sure to get over to Barley's Brewhouse in Kennewick to taste 6 different Chuckanut beers and talk to owner Mari Kemper. If you make it to the Phinney Summer Beer Taste in Seattle on July 13 you'll get to taste Chuckanut's Summer Pale Ale and Helles Lager. New this year Chuckanut beer will be available at the HoopLager Festival at Wibbey Brewing in Longmont, CO July 20. After winning the "Best Lager Brewery" with Seattle Magazine we have been invited to the Red, White & Brew Fest at the Seattle Center on July 25. And the Beer Prom is happening for the 2nd year in Bellingham on July 26! Our date is Future Primitive, a new brewery in Seattle. They came up to brew "Nut to the Future" to be tapped at the Back to the Future Prom. Whenever you are out and about always ask for Chuckanut beers and you won't be disappointed!!
