SOUTH NUT BEER DINNER IN SUPPORT OF WSU BREAD LAB

Chuckanut is kicking off Skagit Farm to Pint Week with a fundraiser dinner  on March 22 at 6 pm for the WSU Bread Lab located down the road in the Port of Skagit. This is the first beer dinner inside South Nut. There will be a welcome beer and bite plus four courses paired to four Chuckanut beers. Brewmaster Will Kemper will talk about the beers as they are served and Bread Lab research and Canlis chef Neils Brisbane will prepare and talk about the food as it's served. The dinner will be family style inside the fermentation hall with the opportunity to bid on silent auction tours and gifts offered by supporting Port of Skagit businesses. All proceeds benefit the Bread Lab. Tickets are $100 for all food and beer and can be purchased in advance at farmtopintdinner.brownpapertickets.com  

CELEBRATE ST PAT'S DAY AT BOTH CHUCKANUT BREWERIES

March is the time for lots of celebrating and one of the biggest is St Patrick's Day. We'll be doing it up right like we do every year and that includes Irish inspired food, beer, dance and music. At North Nut we'll bring back for the entire weekend our delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner, Irish stew, Irish Stout and more. Music at North Nut will be out in the covered patio on March 17, Sunday from 6:30-8:30. We'll have the Opus Irish Dancers at 5:30 out back too! At South Nut we'll be pouring the Irish Stout all weekend and on March 17 from 4-6 pm we'll have live Irish music. Don't be surprised if you find the Leprechauns have gotten into the Kolsch and turned it green again! See us at the Bellingham St Patrick's Day Parade too!

MARCH IN THE KITCHEN

St Paddy's Day weekend will see our tender Corned Beef and Cabbage but you'll be able to taste our Irish Stew all month! Our Irish Lamb Stew slow stewed leg of lamb, cabbage, potatoes, garlic, onion, carrots, stout. Have you tried our creamy smoked salmon dip baked off with parmesan in the woodstone oven and served with house flat bread? It makes a great group appetizer. If your looking for more appetizers try our Cajun Yam Wedges (vegan)! They are oven roasted yams, cajun seasoning with house chipotle aioli, perfect with whatever beer you are drinking!

NEW BEERS FOR MARCH

Marzen is the traditional March beer and it's on tap in March! It's a tantalizing lager with a wonderful malt bill and enough hops to balance out the sweetness to create a dry finish. It's the lager that is traditionally made for Oktoberfest. The Grodzitskie Lager is a lightly smoky, low ABV beer from Poland. It's new for the Chuckanut line up! Our Helles Lager makes a surprise return this spring, make sure to get in to try this award winning beer. And if you have been wanting Chuckanut in bottles you can get them at either North or South Nut in a big selection of Chuckanut's award winning beers. You can find bottles at the Bellingham Community Food Coop, Elizabeth Station, Green's Corner, Old World Deli and a few other bottle shops around the Sound.
