NOVEMBER IS TIME FOR BOCK

The first of the Big Bier Series is back in the cooler and on tap! Our Chuckanut Bock is in bottles now. The perfect Thanksgiving holiday lager, Bock has spent more than 3 months in our fermentation tanks aging at a consistent 29 degrees! Our Chuckanut Bock is full flavored with a deceptively smooth finish for it’s high alcohol content. Dark in color, rich in body with lots of dark fruits and toffee flavors watch out, Chuckanut Bock is dangerously easy to drink! Find it on tap and in bottles in limited supplies at accounts around the Sound! You might even find it down in Oregon, just ask at your favorite spot! Day One Distributing is taking to OR.

NEW BEERS FOR NOVEMBER

This is the time of year Chuckanut brewers have fun making some experimental beers because there's room in our fermentation tanks to explore different styles. On tap this fall we will have our popular Rye Lager. We don't brew this style very often but when we do everyone wants a pint. Spicy and delicious this easy drinking, unusual lager has lots of fans. In the tanks right now are an Oat Lager (new to the line with a soft mouthfeel and bready flavor balanced out by just the right amount of hops), Asian Style Lager (straw colored, easy drinking that uses rice hulls to keep the body light) and the Kaffee Dunkel (coffee flavored Dunkel Lager!). All of these beers will see a return at the end of November and into December. Don't forget to try our New World German Hop Ale that's back as our Seasonal Winter Ale. It uses new varietal German Hops in a Pale Ale. Prost!

NOVEMBER IS FEAST MONTH AT THE KITCHEN

We are trying something new at our North Nut Brewery & Kitchen and we hope you like it. Seeing as it's a time of saying thanks in this month we are tempting and thanking your inner glutton with Feast Month. For the entire month of November our Kitchen will be offering a new Specials menu each week. Our cooks have gathered up ideas for sandwiches, salads, entrees and desserts and you will be the beneficiary of their ideas! The month starts out with a creamy tomato soup but will finish up with something different. We'll have a Philly Cheesesteak using brisket from a local supplier and a new Seafood Special that's out of this world. Don't forget to ask about the Feast Month dessert when you come because we'll exchange one of our regular desserts with something completely different each week too!

CHUCKANUT AROUND THE SOUND

There's lots of opportunities to meet up with us around the sound this November. November 7 we'll be in Silverdale at our friends World of Beer for a brewers night and then again on November 8 in West Seattle at Beer Junction. We'll bring a limited supply of our Bock bottles to the Junction, get them while they last. Friday November 9 we'll be at The Barnacle on Orcas Island to celebrate the start of the On the Rock Beer Fest. Then on November 15 we will be in Redmond at the Hop House as part of the Bellingham Breweries Tap Takeover. Another Bham takeover takes place on the 16th down in Tacoma at Coles Bar. November 17 we return to the Skagit Wine & Beer Fest in Mt Vernon. Heads up, we'll be closed North and South for Thanksgiving on November 22, thanks for being a Chuckanut fan and please enjoy your Thanksgiving Day!
