Oktoberfest is just around the corner and we want you to come celebrate everything fall at N. Nut on September 8 from 1-10 pm. Admission is just $1, kids under 10 years are free! There will be lots going on including live music starting at 1:30 pm & contests (liter holding, yodelling, and more). Make sure to wear your best lederhosen & dirndles for the costume contests, play beer garden games, get your face painted and drink lots of great German style beers & eat lots of great food! Regular restaurant hours will be suspended, gates open 1pm.

August is a great month for Chuckanut beer. Some of our favorite beers we pour at the Great American Beer Festival come on tap in August. That includes Ruby Ale, Dunkel Lager, Alt Bier, Helles Lager, Filtered American Wheat and last but not least Export Dortmunder. All of these amazing beers will come on tap at either North or South Nut, sometimes they will only be on at one of our Tap rooms. You might have to venture outside your regular spot for the beer you are looking to drink. Check our website for the current beers on tap or call us at 360-752-3377 option 1 for North Nut (Bellingham) or option 2 for South Nut (Skagit Valley).

AUGUST MENU SPECIALSIf you haven't been in yet for our weekend Brunch it's time you make a visit. Sit out on the side patio and enjoy the breeze from the water as you munch on some delicious brunch items. We open Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30 am and serve brunch until 2 pm. Our regular menu is served as usual starting at 11 am. This month our summer soup for August is a cold watermelon and tomato gazpacho made with Springtime Farm heirloom tomatoes & persian cukes, watermelon puree, sweet peppers, jalapeno, red onion, sherry vinegar and basil oil. If that doesn't cool you off try the Nectarine Hazelnut Citrus Pizza with Martin family orchard nectarines, Holmquist hazelnuts, Ferndale Farmstead fresh mozzarella, citrus vinaigrette topped with fresh Springtime Farm spicy mizuna greens. And of course you always have to try the latest Brulee for a taste treat!

CHUCKANUT AT FESTIVALSThe festivals continue to happen starting out in Olympia at their annual Brewfest August 4 on the waterfront. On August 11 is another waterfront beer festival this time on the Skagit. It's held in Mt Vernon in support of the Lincoln Theater. For some dinner fun this summer come out to Silverdale and the World of Beer when they host Chuckanut for a summer beer dinner. There will be five Chuckanut beers, food and commentary by Mari and Will Kemper on August 29. Go to World of Beers to get your tickets, limited supply.

WE ARE UPDATING OUR LOGONow that Chuckanut is ten years old it's time for a facelift! We are updating our logo and we hope you like it. Over the next six months we'll be introducing some of our new schwag and look. We'll start at the Oktoberfest with logo half liter mugs that have the new look and we'll have the start of our new tshirts. You'll find other schwag items as we move into the fall and even a new tap handle so make sure to check it out!
